01

User Research

Understanding the User

I interviewed several tech employees in the team and across the company. I asked about their pain points about using the existing system to monitor device usage and inventory. Then, I made a persona to help me understanding the user needs. Also, I drew storyboard and discuss the idea with my manager.

02

DATA VISUALIZATION

Conveying information through Dashboard

I looked into the data that needs to be visualized in the dashboard. There’re more than 10k data each month and each data entry includes the device type, platform, location, using time, and data uploaded, etc. I did a background research of data visualization techniques and sketched wireframes of the dashboard. Also, I make a infographics of the system infrastructure to visualize the data that needs to be included in the dashboard. After a few iterations, I designed the final mockups for the system.

User Testing

Improving Existing Services

I also helped with the user testing of the existing services across platforms. The user test involved employees from several branches of the company across the world. I helped to visualize the test results and generate some insights from the user testing about how to improving the current services.
