Stablow: Red Dot Award Winner

Stablow is a conceptual design that reimagines the stability of portable lighting. Winner of the prestigious Red Dot Design Award, it explores the relationship between center of gravity and user interaction.

The Challenge

Portable lights are often unstable and prone to tipping over. The challenge was to create a lighting solution that is inherently stable, intuitive to use, and aesthetically pleasing.

The Solution

By lowering the center of gravity and using a weighted base, Stablow naturally rights itself when tipped. The form follows this function, resulting in a playful yet practical object that invites interaction.
